Let's go bowling

Last week I wrote about rivarly week. Now that it has passed it's time for the second most excting time of the year for college sports (behind March Maddness)....Bowl Season.

Now eventally i'll put up every single one of my bowl picks up here, they will be the picks that i'll use in the Pitchfork Nation bowl pickem contest. You can also hear my predictions on the 7'oclock Strech with Todd Weber and Justin Ienuso on The Blaze 1260 AM on Tuesday December 7th at 6 p.m. MST.

Ok enough of my shameless plugging. Now it's down to the nitty gritty bowl season. And of couse like we all knew what would happen the BCS screwed everything up. However the BCS did what it was designed to do, spit out the top two teams in the nation. Now weither or not Ohio State and LSU are the two best teams in the nation are a diffrent debate. What we have to remember is that Bowl Season is magical.

We have a bunch of teams now playing their final games, and most if not all of them are going to be on TV. thats nearly a solid month straight of college football everynight, wo cares if it's two teams that suck, it's still football.

You going to be seeing a bunch of players that will be getting their only national television exposure of the year and possibly of their carrears now. So you have to hope and assume that they are going to play their heart out and do their best.

So although the big bowls game shave the big name teams, and mos tof the people you'll be seeing on Sunday in the next few years. Don't forget to watch the lesser bowls, they need your love to.

So I know that this Blog post didn't really follow any perticular linear line of ranting, but hey lets not forget this is rantings of a Madman not rantings of a Saneman.
